About Stephanie
I’m a Chartered Physiotherapist and Lead Physiotherapist at Balanced Physiotherapy, with experience working across the NHS, private practice, elite sport and the military. Since qualifying in 2017, I’ve worked with everyone from the general population to amateur and elite athletes, including football, rugby, netball and rowing.
I mainly work with musculoskeletal pain and injuries, as well as people looking to improve their mobility, strength and physical capacity. I take a holistic approach, looking beyond the symptoms to understand the underlying cause of an issue and how it may be affecting your everyday life, sport or hobbies.
I’ll start with a detailed discussion and physical assessment before working with you to create a personalised treatment plan. Depending on your needs, this may include exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy, dry needling, shockwave therapy, Pilates or soft tissue massage.
My goal is to help you understand your injury, improve your function and get back to doing the things that matter to you.

Which conditions do you treat most often?
I mainly work with individuals presenting with musculoskeletal related pain/ concerns, and people looking to optimise their mobility and functional capacity to prevent injury and continue participating in their sports, hobbies and lifestyle
What happens at a first appointment with you?
Initial consultations start with a subjective examination and conversation to gain a history of the presentation and to discuss expectations and goals, followed by a physical examination dependent on the patients injury and history. This will help to guide which treatment approach to take which will be discuss and agreed upon between both mysefl and the client, the first session will involve treatment and aim to set out the treatment plan to move forwards with. The aim is the reach the “WHY” behind the patients issue and target that alongside the symptoms they may present with because of it.
